INTERFAITH SIP & STITCH GROUP – Come and join our “Interfaith Sip & Stitch” group.  We meet every 1st, 2nd, & 4th Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm in St. Andrew’s church office and meeting room.  Bring your own project or make some toques, scarves, socks or mittens which will be given to charities.  Enjoy a cup of tea and good company. Whatever your faith or belief – you are welcome.

MAUNDY THURSDAY – Please join us for A Simple Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6:00 pm in our downstairs hall (entrance off Second Avenue).  We will be sharing this supper with All Saints Anglican Church and Gladwin Heights & Trinity Memorial United Churches.

What is Maundy Thursday?  Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter, believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples.

Christ’s “mandate” is commemorated on Maundy Thursday—“maundy” being a shortened form of mandatum (Latin), which means “command.” It was on the Thursday of Christ’s final week before being crucified and resurrected that He said these words to his disciples:

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.  Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.”  (John 13:34)
